Lest we forget some of the fierce competition that awaits. It’s often forgotten that the race is very serious business for some of the other teams. (I think the tu-tus might cause a bit of chafing.) From the looks of it, there will be no Bucknellians representing this year. Google 3 will be back, though. There are many teams that are named “Running ______” and even more that are named “Team _______”. Wit is boundless. This blog was so much more active last Thursday.

Vantoo. Not only will we critique your running form for free (we’re not even asking for food, it’s a completely free service!), but we’ll also mock your team name. If you provide us with something else, we’ll make fun of that, too.
Bushwhackers are back. Hello Kitty AC returns. More tutu sightings with the GoGo Girls. No sign of massive jerkwad-containing team, Team Psoas.
At least three teams invoking “Massholes” in some form or other. One team named themselves after one of my favorite phrases that a friend said in college, “Off Like A Prom Dress.” It’s funny because it wasn’t true.
“Snakes on a Van” has to sort of regret their choice at this point.
Of all the lame “double” entendre names, “Your Pace or Mine” is probably the least lame and borders on clever. Not as funny as say, “Let’s Stand Face-to-Face While I Stick You,” but, still pretty good.
Oh, yes, and the Frontrunners have two teams again. Maybe that same runner can pass me on two different legs again this year.

Actually the NY Frontrunners are fielding 3 teams again this year. The ultra team that beat us in 04?, 05? is back. (something about clowns in the title)

I finally looked at the legs I am running. Only my last leg is different. They still haven’t corrected the distance in leg 11 which is 6.2 not 5.5 confirmed three years in a row by Garmin. There was some chatter about it on the RTB boards after the race last year.

Yeah legs 25 and 26 are also off, by about 1/4 of a mile. 25 being longer and 26 being shorter.
